An NZ-made Tiny home that is a registered Caravan!

Not a building on a trailer!

This changes everything!

Our largest MODEL, 9.6, weighs only 2,510 kg and is a registered caravan, not a building transported on a trailer.

Being a registered caravan entails specific legal implications. According to MBIE, if it’s a vehicle, it’s exempt from the Building Act, can be parked wherever caravans are allowed, and adheres to clear standards for waste disposal. “Now that’s peace of mind!”

Read our article, “Know the Legalities of Living in an iPamp Tiny Home.”

Caravans have chassis not trailers.

  • Caravan tiny home alloy chassis not a trailer

    Marine alloy chassis

Keeps the gross vehicle mass below 3.5 tons to comply with land transport's maximum weight regulations to be classified as a standard drawn motor vehicle.

  • iPamps caravan tiny home alloy chassis

    Why a chassis

The chassis is what designates it as a registered caravan rather than a registered trailer. This distinction permits it to be parked in any location where caravans are allowed.

  • Caravan alloy chassis is welded adn bolted

    Strong and durable

Boats are crafted from marine alloy for good reason: it's corrosion-resistant and lightweight. The chassis is painted, spot-welded, and bolted together for durability and strength.

MODEL 6.4

MODEL 9.6

Auckland launch

The iPamp caravan tiny home liberates your lifestyle from the constraints of compact living.

  • Your life will be more organised and productive at home as you live an ever-evolving lifestyle thanks to iPamps artisan furniture and joinery. You will experience the harmonious blend of functional Japanese design and the elegance, simplicity, and timelessness of mid-century styling. Our approach to design is what we refer to as naturally sophisticated minimalism where you add and subtract what you need as you do things.

    Our exclusive artisan joinery includes:

    — Easy-to-install click-in, click-out shelves that are customisable.

    — Space-saving efficient fold-down desk.

    — Artisan kitchen that transcends the ordinary.

  • The iPamp tiny home is not a building on wheels masquerading as a caravan; it is a legally recognised and fully functional caravan (drawn motor vehicle). That meets "NZS 5465:2001 self-containment of motor caravans and caravans," necessitating parking and waste management.

Owning an RV offers numerous advantages, including:

    • Complying with established NZS standards especially NZS 5465:2001 self-containment, fosters collaboration with councils rather than opposition.

    • Exemption from including the RV tiny home in the landowner's LIM report.

    • The flexibility to rent land specifically for parking.

    • Independence from traditional building requirements such as foundations or land engineering reports.

    • Reduced transportation costs.

    • Adherence to clear waste disposal standards as per the NZS 5465:2001 guidelines for black water dump stations.

    • Well-defined parking regulations.

    • The NZS 5465:2001 standard for the Self-containment of motor caravans provides the freedom to park and tow at your convenience.

    • Utilisation of energy-efficient appliances designed for RVs.

    • Ease of upgrading to solar and battery systems for enhanced sustainability.

    • These features make RV living both a practical and appealing choice for those seeking a simpler, more flexible lifestyle.

Ability to join the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association (NZMCA) unlocks a plethora of benefits, including:

    • Substantial insurance discounts

    • Fuel discounts

    • Reduced rates on ferry crossings

    • Exclusive access to holiday parks across the country.

  • iPamp deliberately avoids using off-the-shelf components that don't meet the unique requirements of tiny home living and the demands of being a registered RV. Instead, each tiny home is carefully constructed with custom-made parts, using high-quality materials such as 5083 marine-structural grade aluminium. Although these premium materials incur higher costs, strategic investments over 3.5 years in advanced CNC machinery have significantly reduced production expenses by over half. The result is a product that embodies engineered precision, is available at a competitive mid-range price, and is establishing a new benchmark in the industry.

    The only tiny home that:

    — Sits on a light, robust 5083 alloy chassis.

    — Fully designed with Computer-Aided Design (CAD).

    — Is entirely manufactured with (CNC) technology.

  • We aim to promote collaboration with councils rather than confrontation.

To facilitate this, the iPamp Caravan Tiny Home has been thoughtfully designed and constructed to comply with the standards outlined in the MBIE (Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment Tiny Home Guide), to be exempt from the Building Act.

The iPamp tiny home distinguishes itself as an NZTA-registered caravan, eliminating the debate over whether it qualifies as a building or a vehicle. Unlike traditional tiny homes on wheels (THOWs), which are essentially buildings that use a trailer for transportation, this classification redefines the concept entirely.

1. Assessment

  • Our RV tiny homes are truly revolutionary, crafted to meet the highest standards in the world. We recognise that experiencing them in person is crucial for understanding our products. This conversation comes with no obligations—just a casual chat. Once you familiarise yourself with our offerings, assess how they align with your time frame and, most importantly, your goals.

  • 30 mins.

  • Better than obligation-free: Every visitor to our workshop receives a complimentary phone and tablet holder.

  • Contact us for a detailed quotation with an itinerary list.

2. Project

  • You're all set to get started!

We will contact you once we receive your deposit to finalise your project details, double-check your selections, and initiate the manufacturing of your included gift, a bookshelf desk valued at $1,699.

At this stage, we focus on preparing your project by finalising designs and determining the placement of windows and doors. Adjusting their positions won't affect the price, but adding or removing elements will. You'll also have the opportunity to choose stain colours and finishes. We can prepare samples to ensure they align with your preferences if needed.

    Risk-Free Decision

This phase allows us to confirm that you are 100% satisfied and to establish a manufacturing date. Please note that materials for your project will only be ordered after your deposit for step three has been received. During step two, if you feel we haven't met our commitments or if your circumstances change, you have the right to cancel your order and retain the $1,699 bookshelf desk.

We also reserve the right to cancel your order if we determine our product is suitable for your intended use. In such a case, we will refund you $1,000 while you keep the bookshelf desk.

What's included in this $1000 Investment

    • Consultation

    • Needed samples, colour samples and wood choices.

    • Our elegant foldable designer bookshelf desk is valued at $1,699.

    • Many hours are dedicated to meticulously working out the details of your project.

    • Once we have all the details, everything will be put in writing and formalised.

If you have any questions, feel free to call or text me at 02103421427.

    Best regards,

    David Crout

    Creative Director

  • Typically, the process takes 1 to 2 weeks, and some decisions can spill over into stage 3. However, please keep in mind that we promote our products several times a year, which can lead to increased workloads. In such cases, this stage may take longer than usual.

Note: The Bookshelf desk is manufactured to order and takes 1-2 weeks to make.

  • Invest $1,000 and receive our elegant foldable designer bookshelf desk, valued at $1,699, plus many hours of our time working everything out

3. Launch

  • At this stage, we enter a pivotal phase, where we begin ordering materials for your project and often kick off manufacturing your kitchen and other components. A common inquiry we receive is about the timeline for constructing our tiny homes. We take immense pride in delivering exceptional quality, utilising CNC precision, and focusing on meticulous craftsmanship in our designs. While incorporating micro-detailing (OCD) may extend the build time, the average timeline is approximately three months once construction starts.

You're welcome to visit us at any point during this phase; we encourage your involvement as our goal is to ensure the best outcome for you. Please be aware that deposits made at this stage are non-refundable. We do not profit from these deposits, as high-quality materials are expensive. Therefore, being financially prepared for the final payment upon project completion is vital. We can provide the necessary information to assist you if you're considering an RV loan..

  • Typically, this phase lasts 3 to 6 months, including 3 months of build time, depending on our current order volume. We kindly ask for your understanding as we simultaneously assist and collaborate with multiple clients. Therefore, maintaining open communication is crucial.

  • We request a 60% deposit, but we are open to negotiating a deposit between 40% and 60%.

4. Sign off

  • Once your tiny home successfully passes the final inspection and road test, it will be ready for collection, parked out front and prepared for towing. At this point, the final payment will be due. If you plan to pick it up, please ensure your vehicle is equipped with an electric brake controller. Upon receipt of payment, ownership will officially transfer to you, so securing your insurance beforehand is advisable.

If you want us to deliver your tiny home, remember that insurance must be arranged in advance, as ownership transfers from our factory. To be clear, we are not a commercial transportation company and do not have commercial transportation insurance. We also recommend joining the Caravan Association to benefit from exclusive insurance offers and self-containment RV inspections.

  • 1-2 days.

  • All remaining final payments

  • Once you settle into your tiny home, we value your feedback and offer a complimentary cutting service for your click-in accessories. We encourage you to stay in touch; our tiny homes reflect our art and passion. If you're interested in collaborating on specialised click-in products to expand our range, we would be delighted to design and produce them for you at no cost, aside from providing photos for our website and marketing. Our primary goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction as a client, fostering your confidence in referring us to others. After all, we are all human and understanding that our clients are individuals is fundamental to our mission.

  • Remember that we offer the best warranty in the industry for the parts we manufacture. Additionally, other components, like ovens, come with a supplier warranty. We take great pride in our work and fully stand behind our products. If you encounter any issues with your tiny home, please get in touch with us. We are committed to collaborating with you to resolve any concerns swiftly.

  • W Gladwin

Absolutely loved your true tiny house. What I mean by ‘true’, is the adjustable, compact design & multipurpose areas, which I think is what a tiny house is. Not just a miniature house like many of the others are. The bathroom hidden behind the kitchen was brilliant! Personally, I like that I could create as many bookshelves as I needed in this tiny house as my book collection is one thing I won’t downsize. Definitely think about creating a kit-set deck as that would be an awesome addition to your tiny.
